ARRIVAL MENTALITY

Many people are stagnant where they are once they get to a certain position. They get comfortable and they relax as though they is nothing more to be offered by them.

There is always a better you. Than the current version of yourself. A peom I wrote illustrate this👇

A BETTER ME.

There is always a better me,
If I can go strive a little harder,
If I can grow in time,
If I can give up my comfort zone.

I may be good now,
But there is a better me,
I may be better now,
There is still a better me called: 'best'

I will not relax because of success,
I will not give up because of failing,
I will not get tired of sacrifice,
Because a better me awaits it's manifestation.

There is a better you,
If you don't quit,
If you  don't relax,
If you don't get tired.

                                                                                                           Success sometimes is a killer, because it is like a big cloud covering a person's eyes from seeing above what is present.

It doesn't matter your achievement, don't stop there greater ones awaits.

You can always do more than you have done. Kill the arrival mentality, the mentality that indicates that "that is all you have to offer"

Let us take a Secondary school student for example. If a student is best in his/her school and then she stops there by the time he/she steps out of the school.

To a higher school, such person will meet competitors that are above him/her and because of this such person may never appear in that school.

The fact that you are good today at something does not stop you from being better tomorrow.

Stop relenting and relaxing, it will take you no where.

Before you know it those you that you were better than will begin to soar higher than you.

I don't want to know the level of your achievement, forget it. More awaits you.

Don't stop, there is more!

My brother and sister wake up!, it is time to shine.

Yesterday is gone, today is going - utilize it to it's maximum.

Rise up today and shine! ✨

Don't you know you are a star. A star does not stop shining ooo, it shines everyday. Live like a star because you are one.  

How do you know that there is more abilities in you? Take these practical steps:-

1. Take time to look inward everyday and thank God for you:

Nobody will discover you for you. It is your responsibility, I can tell you with all confidence that you have not known what you can fully do yet.

You might be like "what is he saying?"

There are lot and lot of talent in you. And my definition of talent is God's investment in you, these talents  will manifest one after the other as you  attain the level of mastery in one.

  

Some people just discover one talent and they feel on top of the world already 

without striving for more. Say this to yourself "I can do more than this" 

Remember to thank your creator God for trusting you with those potentials. What he expects from you is productivity after productivity. As you thank him he increases you. 

2. Get to work and don't compare yourself with anybody :

Don't grow lazy enough to move forward. A big sign of laziness is wishing to be there because you know you have the strength to be there.

Get up! And start working on yourself. The first thing you have to do when working on yourself is don't compare yourself with anybody.

Comparing yourself with someone else will lead to low self esteem and  frustration.

I will always say this - you are special because no body looks exactly like you in the whole wide world. No body can do it exactly like you. That makes you exceptional great.

Comparing yourself with someone else is a waste of time and energy. Instead, why not speak to yourself if how wonderful and great you are.

Start small, then your abilities will grow big. Don't get scared if failing there are stepping stones to success.

3. Pray to God:

This is a very important and necessary step because there is only little you
can do without God.

He is your manufacturer, he knows you more than you do yourself. Only home can truly tell you what he has invested in you.

Prayer creates a strong and unmovable foundation for success.

Commit all in his hands, only God can truly help you. Because men can and will fail you. But God never fails.

Look up to him daily and trust him with your work.

He is your beginning and ending.
